Biography

Gordon is a native Texan, born in Dallas.  He grew up in the small town of Bay City, near the Texas Gulf coast, where he got into just about every aquatic sport there is.  In addition to water skiing, sailing, scuba diving and surfing, Gordon put most of his competitive passion into swimming.

Gordon got hooked on computers in high school during the earliest days of the personal computer and immediately knew that’s what he wanted to do for his professional career.  At Baylor University, when he wasn’t pulling an all-nighter in the computer programming lab, Gordon spent most of his time with his fraternity brothers (Sigma Phi Epsilon – Sig Ep).  And for extra spending money, he got an internship at the local IBM branch office.

After Graduation, he went to work for IBM in Corpus Christi, which is where he met his wife Kelly.  Fast forward a bunch of years and Gordon & Kelly now have three grown daughters, two granddaughters and a grandson.

Today, Gordon enjoys competitive swimming (now of “Master’s” age), angel investing and mentoring high tech startups via his advisory practice named Shockwave Innovations.
